March was so Match-a Fun!

We are wrapping up the month of March and April is on it's way with lots of fun new events and Blooming Teas!  You awesome blog readers learned about the powdered substance called matcha, it's wonderful health benefits and got educated in the proper way to prepare matcha. Those adventurous enough tasted the different grades of matcha at our new popular Matcha Demo & Tasting event. We wanted to leave you with a matcha recipe that is super easy and delicious. Enjoy!

Overnight Matcha Oatmeal

1 1/2 tsp of matcha (shop matcha here)
1 cup of quick or old fashioned rolled oats (Your preference for texture. Gluten free options are available in health section at grocery store) 
1 cup of your preferred milk choice (We recommend coconut or rice milk with matcha)
1 tbs. chia seeds (optional)
1 tbs. Local honey (optional for sweetener. Bananas can be used for sweetness as well)

Add matcha powder to bowl or wide cup with 2oz of 170° filtered water.  With bamboo whisk (Shop whisk here), whisk together to blend matcha until fully dissolved. Add oats, prepared matcha and the rest of ingredients together into a mason jar (16oz) and leave overnight. In the morning, stir and enjoy! Add fruit, nuts or anything that you feel would be tasty.
